Our Mission
At Newalk of Life, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore and succeed in the world of technology. Our mission is to change the trajectory of the lives of many inner-city children by providing them with free coding and robotics curriculum and hands-on experiences. We focus on building a supportive environment where students can develop their passion for technology and gain the skills needed for future success.
Meet the Founder
Wali Palmer, a recent inductee into the prestigious National Society of Leadership Success, is a justice-impacted undergraduate studying computer science at Rutgers University. With a passion for bridging the digital divide, Palmer's journey is one of resilience and determination. After completing two consecutive summer internships at Princeton University, where he conducted groundbreaking research in quantum cascade lasers and coding foundations, he founded Newalk of Life to empower underserved youth with the transformative power of STEM education. Palmer's dedication to fostering innovation and creating opportunities for the next generation serves as an inspiration to us all.
Our Program
Codingfortheyouth, our groundbreaking program, is a seven-week immersive experience that ignites a passion for coding and robotics in children ages 7–18. Through hands-on projects and collaborative learning, students explore the exciting world of technology using platforms like Blockly and Python on the Experiential Robotics Platform (XRP) and Makeblock. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, challenging, and accessible to all levels, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
